This section houses the Rachio Controller's new tabs that are now divided into Zones and Schedules.
Zones Tab
Allows you to Set-up Zones, Show/Hide Disabled Zones, and QuickRun.
To show Disabled Zones, click “Show Disabled Zones” Click any shaded zone to reactivate. Toggle the “Disabled” switch to Reenable.
Visit How do I set up my zones? for a detailed step-by-step guide.
At individual zones view you may:
- “Enable or Disable” a zone
- Review and adjust zone settings under “Edit”
- QuickRun - the selected zone only
- Confirm and review the schedules the zone belongs to
- Review zone monthly water usage
The zone settings are very important for smart features such as SmartCycle and Flex Schedules. The more accurate the zone settings, the more reliable smart programming you will experience.
"A smart device is only as smart as the data it is fed."
Schedules Tab
Allows you to create schedules, quick run schedules, and review schedule settings as well as check the calendar for the scheduled watering days.
How do I create a watering schedule? Will guide you on step-by-step instructions on how to create a schedule, and how to choose the best schedule type for your irrigation needs.
At individual schedules, you may:
- QuickRun - the selected schedule only
- “Enable or Disable” a schedule
- Review and adjust schedule settings
- Schedule type and Interval Type can not be changed
- ”Interval” will allow you to take a day/days out of schedule. Uncheck any box to remove that day from scheduling.
- ”Watering Duration” will show you the total watering time for each zone per watering cycle. Use the +/- buttons to add or subtract minutes, then press “Done” to lock in the information. **We do not recommend manual adjustments for Flex schedules.
Calendar Section
Monthly calendar view showing water drops at the scheduled watering days. Waterdrops can be color-coded under schedule settings to best identify on the calendar view.
Water Intelligence Plus skipped schedules will show on the calendar in orange with a line across.
Water Delay is a function that will pause the controller for up to 7 days, and once expires it will resume the regular watering schedule. If a longer pause is desired, the schedules can each be disabled, or the controller can go into Hibernation (formerly Standby) Mode (under the Settings Wheel).
By selecting a day on the calendar, you can review the scheduled start and end times, broken down by zones, including cycle and soak if selected.
