What can you do with a Rachio 3 Smart Sprinkler Controller?

Rachio is a water, time, and money-saving sprinkler controller that gives you access to sprinkler system settings and water usage information at your fingertips. Check on and run your sprinklers from anywhere in the world on your smartphone (or with our web app). Rachio is so intelligent that it skips waterings when you have plenty of moisture in your soil. It automates the amount of water your vegetation needs to stay healthy and green, and it integrates with many other smart home products! With leading smart watering control and hyperlocal Weather Intelligence™ Plus, the Rachio 3 helps you monitor and manage your outdoor water use.

Do-It-Yourself vs. Professional Installation

Liberty customers have two installation options: DIY or Professional installation. If you'd prefer to install the controller yourself, please follow the DIY installation steps in your confirmation email after you redeem. If you'd prefer to have a professional install your controller please review this article where we have listed the Rachio Pros at an exclusive price to Liberty residents. Instructions to contact a Rachio Pro are included in your confirmation email.


FAQ


What if I have more than 16 sprinkler zones?

For systems exceeding 16 zones, an additional controller is required, for which the customer can purchase separately at rachio.com.


How will I receive my Rachio products?

Your Rachio 3 Smart Sprinkler Controller will be shipped directly to your home. Controllers will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.


Can I install the Rachio 3 controller myself?

You bet! Installation is incredibly easy. Just follow the DIY installation steps in your confirmation email after you redeem.

If you don't feel comfortable doing that, you can reach out to a professional to have them install it for you. Please note: Professional installation costs are the responsibility of the homeowner.


My controller is outside - do I need an outdoor enclosure? 

Yes! If your controller is outside, you’ll need a Rachio Outdoor Enclosure to protect from the elements. You can purchase one here.


Is this my only chance to claim this offer?

What schedule should I choose?

Great question! Liberty customers are encouraged to select a Flex Monthly schedule. Flex Monthly Schedules determine an optimal, predictable monthly schedule. Rachio will automatically adjust your watering intervals and durations to offset seasonal weather changes. To learn more about Flex Monthly, click here.


What are the program eligibility requirements?


Eligibility Conditions


  • I understand that the offer my household received for this program is nontransferable and understand that the controller must be installed at the property associated with the account that received the offer.
  • I am the owner/operator of the irrigation system and the home where the system is located, and where the irrigation controller will reside.
  • My home has Wi-Fi and it provides a good signal where the irrigation controller will be located.
  • I agree to accept Rachio notifications and messages via the mobile app. Receipt of notifications and messages is an important conservation program component. I understand that if I disable these notifications/messages, I will not receive important information about setting changes that could impact irrigation and water usage. 
  • Liberty is not responsible for my Wi-Fi system or charges associated with maintaining it.
  • I am responsible for my water usage and bill now, and into the future.
  • The Rachio system presents no guarantee for reductions in water use nor does it provide any variance from Drought Restrictions or water waste rules that might be in effect in Long Island. 
  • I understand that the Rachio weather-based controller feature uses local weather data to adjust water applied to my landscape. If this feature is used, I understand that it may increase my water use/monthly bill if weather conditions become hot and dry. This feature can be disabled, but only the owner of the irrigation system and Rachio controller have this ability. 
  • My water usage will be tracked during the next year to assess how the new controller may be assisting me in keeping water usage appropriate.
  • I agree to participate in at least one online follow-up survey conducted by Liberty. 
  • I agree to be contacted if any unusual or unexpected water consumption patterns are observed.
  • Liberty is not responsible for the condition of my landscape or irrigation system now, or in the future.
  • I understand that I may keep my existing irrigation controller and reinstall it/replace the Rachio system at any time, at my own expense/effort; however, I will notify Liberty if I make the choice to remove the Rachio system.
