Hi there! I’m sure you’re excited about getting started. This article will explain how to manage your brand new Rachio from our web app interface at app.rachio.io. So if you're looking for a way to access your controller using your browser and access your account on a desktop/laptop, this article is for you.
From the website rachio.com, scroll all the way down you can select the option Web Login at the bottom of the page and that will open the app.rach.io website, AKA Rachio Web App.
Once you sign in, on the left part, we have the menu where we can navigate among the tabs, and put the controller on Hibernation (formerly Standby) mode or Water Delay. Comparing this menu with the Mobile app, the Home tab has the same name on both apps, the Irrigation tab on the Mobile app is the Schedule and Zones tabs and the other tabs are within the More tab on the Mobile app: (NOTE: there is no way to access the information from the Yard tab (mobile app) on the Web app)
The Home tab has the info we usually need, such as Serial number, Device ID, RSSI (for wifi signal strength), among others. Besides that, it has the same information as the Mobile app (Weather Intelligence information, next waterings, and Usage):
On the Schedules tab, you can see the schedules and the calendar. The schedules grayed out means that they are disabled (as FD and Flex Monthly on the picture below). To create a new schedule, you just have to hit the + sign on the bottom right of the page:
On the Web app, you can check the waterings detailed for a specific day by hitting the day you want to check on the Calendar. This could be useful when you want to check if the New seeding schedule the customer created is working properly, for example.
The zones tab shows you the zones and the Current readings, which is very useful when we are troubleshooting zones that are not working. When you hit a Zone you want to check, you are able to see the schedules this particular zone is included in and the usage for the month. To edit a zone, you just need to hit the Edit button.
The History tab shows all the events that happened. It works exactly the same as the History tab on the Mobile app.
On the Controller settings, you are able to check the Name of the controller, select the type of wire inserted on the M terminal (Master Valve, Well or Pump Start Relay, or none), activate the Minimize water hammer feature for customers that has problems with water noises on the pipe, change the Location of the controller and check the Technical information. On the bottom has the option to Remove (shared) controller. (NOTE: the option to change the Brightness of the lights on the controller is only available for Rachio 3 controllers).
On the Weather Intelligence (PLUS) tab, you can change from Weather Network and Weather Station and also change the Weather Station selected, if needed. You can also change the thresholds of the Rain, Freeze and Wind skips.
The Shared Access tab is where you can give Complete or Limited Access to an account or Transfer the ownership of the controller
On the Accessories tab, you are able to check if the Sensors are enabled and the type of sensor you have.
The Integrations tab is used when you want to add an Integration to work with the Rachio controller, such as Home Kit, Nest, IFTTT, Google, etc.
The Account tab is where you can access your personal information, Notifications settings, Measurement Units, and Usage units that you can set as you wish.
