Android Smart Network Switch
Smart Network Switch is a feature on Android phones that allows your phone to automatically switch between Wi-Fi and the mobile network. It was designed to enhance your mobile browsing experience.
Why is this important to check?
Smart Network Switch is on by default on all Android devices running OS 5.2+. When connecting your controller to Wi-Fi the phone may accidentally attempt to connect to your controller to your mobile data plan instead of your Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi pairing process will fail if this happens. We recommend putting your phone into airplane mode or disabling Smart Network Switch while connecting the controller to Wi-Fi to avoid any possible interference.
How do I turn off?
To disable Smart Network Switch, go to Apps > Settings > Wi-Fi > More > Smart network switch. Then tap “Off” to disable. For screenshots, please see this 3rd party support article.
