Wiring Your Controller (Generation 2)
Last Update:Feb 25 2022 2:41pmSummary
Not sure how to wire you Generation 2 Controller? No sweat! All you need is a small screwdriver for the installation! The controller is designed to accommodate two sensors, a master valve or pump relay, and up to 16 zones.
If you're having trouble reading the terminal labels, please reference the wiring guide below:
TERMINAL | WIRE |
C | Common (use any or all) |
# (1-16) | Zone # (reference old timer wiring) |
M | Master Valve or Pump Relay; see Advanced Wiring |
S1 | Sensor 1 (Rain or Flow) |
S2 | Sensor 2 (Rain or Flow) |
SC | Sensor Common |
SP | Sensor Power (Wireless Rain Sensor) |
Tips for Wiring:
- 24VAC and ground wires are not needed.
- An enclosure is required for hard wiring installations and/or outdoor installation.
- When inserting or releasing wires, push IN on the terminal block with a small screwdriver (see below). This will ensure a solid connection.
- Solid 18 gauge single-strand copper wiring is ideal. If you have thicker gauge wires we recommend retrofitting with 18 gauge wires using a terminal strip.
