Summary

Pro Properties brings devices together into an easily searchable and filterable experience, made specifically for Pros. Properties can be found on a map, within a scannable list, or through new search functionality that intuitively surfaces device names, addresses, and Property names. Individual properties can be tagged as favorites for easy filtering and finding. Properties also surfaces device information like Status (offline / online) to make it easy to troubleshoot remotely, and our new Directions feature makes it simple to get directions to a client’s location using any of the Pro’s desired mapping apps.

  4. Transferring ownership of a device

Getting started with Properties

You can enable Pro Properties by navigating to your Account > Profile settings in the Rachio App, and checking the box next to “I’m a professional contractor who installs controllers”.

Pro Properties starts off in a map view. Tapping on the locator will zoom in showing all marked Properties. The +  action button in the bottom right corner allows you to quickly add devices and homes.

By selecting View List, a list of Property cards will show up. Each card shows device information for your properties, and also has options for favoriting, getting navigation directions, and an overflow menu (More). Tapping on a device within a Property will take you to the device’s events page. Tapping on Directions will open up your mapping app for directions, and toggling Favorites will add/remove the Property from the favorite list.

The screenshots below show how this information is displayed:

Search and Filter within Properties

With this feature, you can Search and Filter your Properties! From the map, you can zoom in to see a more granular view of Property markers and this will offer an option to filter the Property list accordingly.

To favorite a Property tap on a Property marker and this will bring up a small summary card, you can select the star icon to favorite.

You can also filter your search for Properties with devices that are offline, or for favorited Properties.

Search can be found within the Properties map and the Properties list. Tapping on the search field will reveal a list of Properties and devices, allowing you to search across Property names, addresses, and device names.

Account and Property Lists

You can now access your account right from the Pro Properties view by clicking on the account icon in the top right corner next to the search bar. Within the Account settings, there is a new list item for Properties. From this list item, you can edit the names and addresses of the properties you own.

Transferring ownership of a Device

With Pro Properties, it is now even easier to transfer ownership of a device you own. Simply tap on the Property where the device to be transferred is located, find the device, and select "Transfer Ownership". This can be done from the main Properties list on the search page, or from the Properties list within your account settings.
