Grey Water Sources and the Wireless Flow Meter

Does the grey water irrigation system support a Wireless Flow Meter?

Reclaimed and/or grey water sourced irrigation systems do not need backflows with the WFM as the source is not potable drinking water.

We need to ensure there are at least six inches of straight pipe between the water source and the flow meter.

The backflow preventer requirement is only due to the WFM not being rated for potable water. The irrigation water source doesn’t mix with potable water, a backflow preventer isn’t necessary.

Note: All R3 controllers manufactured after November ’21 are not compatible with the Rachio Wireless Flow Meter.
