Internet

This Rachio controller requires a 2.4ghz Wi-Fi internet connection (802.11 b/g/n).

Supported Wi-Fi encryption standards:

  • WPA2 (recommended)
  • WPA

Enterprise-level encryption is  NOT supported.

We recommend internet connections with a 1 Mb or higher upload speed for optimal performance.

In the event of a Wi-Fi outage or intermittency, the controller’s memory retains the last saved schedule received from the Rachio cloud and maintains the schedule until an update can be downloaded (more info here).

The Rachio controller must be connected to the AC power adapter included. DC Transformers are not supported.
