EveryDrop Flow Meter FAQ

Is my system compatible with the EveryDrop Flow Meter?

EveryDrop flow meters (1004-EX / 1104-EX / WM-1000) are only compatible with the Rachio 3 and Rachio Generation 2 controllers (the Rachio Generation 1 is only compatible with Rain Sensors).

What size pipe are the EveryDrop Flow Meters compatible with?

The EveryDrop flow meters we support are designed to be installed on ¾ inch and 1-inch sprinkler systems. Pipes greater than 1-inch diameter are not recommended.

What skills will I need for installation?

Rachio always recommends professional installation of any flow meter. If you are a confident DIYer with plumbing experience and you plan to install the device yourself, EveryDrop does provide a downloadable installation guide and manuals on their website:

MODEL 1004-EX

MODEL WM-1000

How many flow meters do I need?

We support irrigation systems with up to 2 backflow preventers and a single Rachio controller. You should install 1 flow meter per backflow preventer. At the most, you can have two backflow preventers and two flow meters per Rachio controller. This is not compatible if you have two Rachio controllers using one backflow preventer.

I own a Rachio Wireless Flow Meter. May I add this as a second flow meter?

Although the Rachio 3 supports two flow meters, you cannot mix types. It supports either two Rachio Wireless Flow Meters or two EveryDrop flow meters.

What is the warranty?

As part of the EveryDrop Meters line of products, the manufacturer includes a 1-year limited warranty. Click here for details.
