Did you move into a new home with a Rachio 3 Smart Sprinkler Controller? If so, congratulations! This article will cover the initial setup steps for your new acquisition.
Take control of your lawn
Once your home’s Wi-Fi is set up, it’s time to control your lawn from your phone - not your garage.
The Rachio app is your personal watering assistant, dedicated to making the most of every drop of water with features like guided schedule setup, weather monitoring, and more.
- Just one touch to run, pause and skip between individual zones.
- Replace zone numbers with names and photos for easy reference.
- Review run history and next scheduled runs at a glance.
Before starting, please note:
If your new home has freshly laid sod, the installation professional for your Rachio most likely left the controller on a standard fixed watering schedule to allow your sod to establish itself and stay healthy. Before changing your schedule to one of Rachio’s Flex water-saving schedules, ensure your lawn is established.
Next Steps
- Download App
Download the Rachio app for iOS or Android (iOS 10.3+ or Android 4.4+ is required). The web app is also available on most browsers, but the mobile app is required to connect the controller to Wi-Fi.
- Setup Account
Create an account quickly by selecting “Don’t Have an Account” and following the prompts within the app.
- Setup Controller
The app will guide you through the controller setup. If you have any trouble along the way, our support team is here to help!
