Smart Hose Timer Light Guide

This guide will provide descriptions for each of the Light Codes you may experience while using your Rachio Smart Hose Timer Hub and Valve.

Rachio Smart Hose Timer Light Guide

For Hubs with firmware version 6.x:

• Yellow blinking: Ready to onboard in Rachio app
• Blue blinking: Attempting to connect to Wi-Fi
• Purple blinking: Connected to Wi-Fi. Attempting to connect to server
• Green blinking: Connected to server
• Green solid: Connected online normal operating state
• Green/yellow alternating: Firmware updating
• Blue/yellow alternating: Hub pairing with valve
• Orange blinking: Failed to pair with valve

For Valves with firmware version 6.x:

• Blue single flash: Valve has been opened
• Red single flash: Valve has been closed
• Yellow/Blue alternating: Pairing mode initiated
• Single green flash: Pairing successful
• Orange/red alternating: Batteries very low. Replace them immediately
• White blinking: Firmware updating
• Red blinking slowly: Valve memory cleared successfully. [Press button once to resume normal operation

For Hubs with firmware version 3.x:

• Yellow blinking: Ready to onboard in Rachio app
• Green fast: Connected to Wi-Fi
• Green steady: Connected to Rachio Server
• Green/yellow alternating: Needs firmware update
• Green/yellow alternating: Firmware updating
• Green solid: Connected online normal operating state

For Valves with firmware version 3.x:

• Blue single flash: Valve is open
• Red single flash: Valve is closed
• Yellow/Blue alternating: Pairing mode initiated
• Single green flash: Pairing successful
• White blinking: Firmware updating
• Red blinking every 2 seconds: Valve reset successful

For Hubs with firmware version 2.x:

• Yellow blinking: Ready to onboard in Rachio app
• Purple blinking: Connected to mobile
• Purple/white: Alternating: connected to Wi-Fi
• Green/yellow: Updating firmware
